What’s up Half Way Homies!? Radio silence over: Trevor is back from the UK, a holiday has been had, and it’s time for a new session, one of many we will be volleying out to you in the coming weeks. OhCult performed a great set for us at the studio, combining hectic mathcore instrumentation with some versatile vocal flare provided by guest singer Ryan Housman. Every single component of this band adds something so crucial to the overall powerful sound that this group omits, with sick drum parts that are involved and complex played all over the kit, crazy rhythmic bursts from some precise flicks of the bass (Check out that right hand!) and the wonderful delivery of some good ol fashioned dissonant chords and riffs that add the extra intensity that makes heavy music like this so bone-crushing. Throw that singing and screaming and talking trifecta on top, you’ve got a winner.
