PREGNANT’s return to our studio really showed how dynamic of a project this truly is. What Daniel and Luis have showcased here, life and right in front of us, was rather inspiring to say the least. They start off by creating the foundation of the first song with layers of looped wind instruments and hand rubbing, and delve deep into textural, spacey goodness. From there, radical backing tracks give way to the immense melodic potential for only a fleeting minute or so before switching on a dime to a rhythmic bombardment that no one saw coming. By the end, PREGNANT puts on full display the demented power of their songwriting, performing a pair of guitar and vocal driven tunes that have a down right addictive tone and are just a treat to see and hear.
As you can probably tell, this session means a great deal to us, since their first session was such a treat, and we’re so happy these two wanted to come back and show us this different but equally as impressive form of the band and left us feeling just as fulfilled as we did their last time here. We hope you will too.
